Starting in fall 2023, Springlake will be begin hosting a student Bible Drill on Wednesday nights. We will serve a free meal from 6:00-6:30 pm and Bible Drill will be from 6:30-7:30 pm. We will have two separate age groups; a 1-3rd grade and a 4-6th grade.
Bible Drill is a program designed to help children develop skills using their bibles. They will the books of the bible, locating verses, memorizing passages, and locating passages dealing with doctrinal and ethical concerns. Working together to prepare for the drill, students increase their love for the Bible; its words and phrases become a part of them. They will also gain poise and confidence as they respond to drill calls with speed and accuracy. You child does not have to be a member of Springlake to participate in Bible Drill activities.
In the spring, there will be an opportunity for the children to participate in an Associational Drill with other students from other churches and advance to a regional event.
