Become a Volunteer

If you attend TCC and are interested in volunteering for VBS, please complete this registration. Volunteers are needed Monday through Wednesday, plus Thursday’s Family Night. VBS works best when kids see the same leaders each night, so we ask that you please only sign up if you can commit to all three VBS nights.

Volunteer Requirements:
For the safety of all children, VBS volunteers must regularly attend Taylorsville Community Church. Because volunteers are placed in leadership and supervision roles with children, we are only able to accept volunteers who are active and regularly involved at TCC.

To best serve the children attending VBS, volunteers may not bring younger children or babies with them while serving. Our volunteers need to be fully focused on caring for, leading, and engaging with our VBS kids throughout the evening. We appreciate your understanding and support in helping make VBS a safe and successful week for everyone.

Background Check:
All adult volunteers are required to complete a background check. This will be emailed to you in May through Checkr. If you have already completed a background check for TCC in order to serve in TCC Kids or on the Safety Team, you will not receive another one. Thank you for helping us keep our kids safe and cared for during VBS!

Student Volunteers:
Students wishing to volunteer must be entering at least 7th grade in the upcoming 2026/2027 school year in order to serve.

Dance Team:
If you are interested in being part of the Dance Team, please select MUSIC as your volunteer role when registering.

Volunteer Meeting:
A required Volunteer Meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 27 at 6:30 PM. We ask that all volunteers attend. If you are unable to be there, please connect with Whitney or Courtney ahead of time.

Volunteer Meals & Shirt:
All volunteers will receive a VBS t-shirt to wear, and dinner will be provided each night of VBS, beginning at 5:15 PM.

Medical Release: I give my permission for the VBS staff to administer basic first aid to me in the event of an injury. I understand that the VBS staff will contact emergency services in the event of a significant injury and all expenses for such emergency services will be paid by me.
