At Rainforest Explorers VBS, your children look into the Bible, God’s Holy Word, and discover that Jesus leads the way to the treasure of eternal life with Him! What do you need when you go on a journey? The Bible accounts link with special tools to show how Jesus leads the way in our lives: 

■ With Noah, we learn that God keeps His promises, even when we don’t know where we’re going (binoculars). 

■ Like Moses, we see that our loving God gives direction to love Him and others in His Commandments (map). 

■ Jesus calls His disciples to follow Him, and He is always with them—that means us too (walkie-talkies). 

■ The journey can be dangerous, but Jesus is filled with healing. He healed lepers, and He heals us (first aid kit). 

■ In Jesus, we realize that the treasure we’ve been looking for is right in front of us! Jesus treasures us, and He is our treasure. He gives us all the tools we need to share this great news with others (all tools).  

 

This year we will be trying something a little bit different. we will kick VBS off with a Sunday evening family celebration, looking into the theme of the week, learning a few songs, doing some stations as a family, and getting ourselves pumped for a week of VBS. Then we will return to a traditional format for Monday-Thursday going 9:00-11:45 as normal! :)
